- Launch a functional web browser
- Download the Tiktok app from either the Google Play Store or from the App Store depending on your device specification.
- Get the app installed on your device
- Thereafter, click open the app
- Scroll to the option that reads “Me”
- Choose a method to sign up with
You can choose to sign up via any of these mediums:
- Sign up, using phone or email

- Continue with Twitter.
You have to ensure that your email and phone number are valid, because you’ll need them to log in and also for your password recovery.

After creating your account, you can log in on Tiktok. To log in to Tiktok to start posting your own amazing videos:
- Click open the Tiktok app
- Provide your Username and Password
- Follow it up, by clicking on the “Log In” option.
You can also log in via social networks like Facebook, Instagram or Twitter.
How to Use Tiktok Online
After you have created your account on Tiktok, I want to show you how to use the Tiktok app.
View Video
After setting up your profile, click back to the first tab which displays a video feed. This video is a primary content. If you do not have any followers yet, the app will send you random trending videos.
You can start following and interacting with more people, then your feed will become more personalized to your interests.
Like, comment, or share
You can like comment or share any video you find interesting. You can do this by tapping on the heart icon, to like it or the speech bubble to comment on it.
To share the Tik Tok videos, tap on the forward sign beneath the comment symbol to view your sharing options. You’ll find all these icons on the right side of the video.
To search for more videos, click on the second button, or magnifying glass, to enter the app’s search area. From this button, you can either search out accounts or videos, or you can look below the search bar to see videos by trending topic.
Follow Users Through Videos, Search, and TikCode
Tiktok Search for Videos
If you want to follow other users, you can follow them by tapping the icon that includes their profile picture and a, + sign above the heart button on their video.
On the other hand, if you already know of a Tiktok account or person that you want to follow, you can easily search for them using the search bar and then press the “Users” filter.
Alternatively, you can find them by scanning their TikCode. This can come in handy for brands or people who want to promote their Tiktok channel on other websites or physically.
In order to find your own TikCode, go to your profile and click on the icon with four squares at the top right.
To scan another TikCode, go to the search tab and click on the square scan tab close to the search bar.
As the scan screen opens, hold it up to the TikCode that you want to scan. The scanning process will begin immediately. Within seconds of a successful scan, you’ll be sent to that person’s profile.
If you have a screenshot of a code, you can also click “Photos” at the top corner of the scan page which will enable you to upload and scan the code.
If up until now, you have not joined in the fun by signing up on Tiktok, then you are missing a lot. If you want to get on board the Tiktok train, you can use the simple steps outlined above to create an account, log in and use Tiktok comfortably.
