If your background noises are distracting your meeting, you can mute yourself on zoom to keep the focus on your speaker.
- Move your mouse, for options to appear on the screen
- Then, click on the microphone icon to mute yourself. The red line signifies you are muted
- To unmute yourself, click the microphone icon again.
Once you are muted, no one will hear you because your microphone will become disabled.

It might become necessary to mute all attendees if there is an unnecessary distraction to the meeting.
- Click on participant
- Then, click on the mute all button
- To unmute, click on the mute all button again to unmute attendees.
