Let’s See what Facebook has for us on WhatsApp Update 2021.
Millions of WhatsApp users have begun to receive a notification from the popular WhatsApp messaging service platform asking them by February 8 to either approve its new Terms of Service and Privacy Policy or lose access to the app.
Sent to both Android and iOS users, the in-app notification from the Facebook-owned platform addresses key updates, such as how the company handles user data, how companies can use Facebook hosted services to store and manage their WhatsApp chats, and how Facebook works with the company to provide integrations across its products.

On February 8, 2021, WhatsApp’s new terms and its privacy policy will come into effect. In order to keep using their WhatsApp accounts after the deadline, users would need to accept these terms and changes.
Many who do not support the revised privacy policy will no longer be in a position to use the app. WhatsApp has effectively left users with no alternative.
Its data collection is one of the big improvements included, and it ensures you can share your information with Facebook.
When a user forwards media inside a post, we store the media temporarily on our servers in encrypted form to help deliver additional forwards more effectively,” WhatsApp said on its website.”
The updated terms of service and privacy policy also make sharing information with Facebook mandatory for WhatsApp users. Prior to the update, current users were provided with the option to choose not to have their WhatsApp account details shared with Facebook.
You can’t block WhatsApp from sharing details with Facebook
WhatsApp currently shares with Facebook companies some categories of data.
We can use the information we receive from them and use the information we exchange with them to help run, deliver, enhance, understand, customize, promote and sell our services and their products, like Facebook Company Products,” says WhatsApp. “We can make use of the information we receive from them.
The information we share with other Facebook companies includes information about your account registration (such as your phone number), transaction data, service-related information, information about how you communicate with others (including companies) while using our Services, information about your mobile device, your IP address, and may include other information listed in the section on the Privacy Policy entitled
WhatsApp said it gathers user details to be able to deliver functionality and customize the experience for the user.
The details that you share with WhatsApp that will be exchanged are your phone number, app logs, status messages, your profile name, your profile picture, and your IP address.
