New 11th era Intel Core Processor: Intel Releases Its Eleventh Generation Desktop Processors

Intel has officially announced its 11th era intel core processor, popularly known by its codename: Rocket lake S. The Intel rocket lake S includes CPUs coating each type of Intel core processor bar 13, including the powerful Intel core i9 11900k at the top of the pile.

Intel’s new flagship processor will contend with AMD’s Ryzen 5000 series in the battle for superiority in which the balance of power repeatedly switches back and forth.

Intel Releases Its Eleventh Generation Desktop Processors

The Intel Core i9 flagship is an octa-core, 16thread CPU with a base clock speed of 3.5GHZ, a single-core minimum upgrade speed of 5.2GHz, and an all-core maximum upgrade speed of 4.8GHz. It will aid DDR4 RAM at 3,200MHz and has a relatively sized 16MB intel smart cache.

The Intel Core i9 is a remarkable CPU, it comes with a slightly lessened performance compared to the 10th generation CPUs. The former flagship model, Intel i9 10900k had 10 cores and 20 threads, boasting very identical core clock speeds.

The 11th generation CPUs use Intel’s new cypress cove architecture. It is the first Intel’s major architecture upgrade since skylake was introduced back in 2015 and is expected to empower a substantial performance upgrade to Intel’s 11th generation processor and those that follow in its steps. Intel predicts cypress cove to produce up to 19% better performance previous generation.

However, rocket lake s uses the cypress cove architecture, intel is still using the same 14nm manufacturing process. The 10nm process used for its desktop chips, so the performance upgrade that comes with that manufacturing switch will arrive with a later generation.

Currently, Intel introducing eight new 11th rocket lake S processors:

  • Intel i9-11900k: MSRP $539
  • Intel i9-11900: $439
  • Intel i7-11700k: $399
  • Intel i7- 11700: $323
  • Intel i5- 11600k: $262
  • Intel i5- 11600: $213
  • Intel i5- 11500: $192
  • Intel i5- 11400: $182

The aforementioned prices are Intel’s recommendation, and you would expect these to stay valid, at least in the medium.
