The graphic design platform is starting the year strong with an obtainment of another tech company. On Tuesday, Kaleido revealed it had joined forces with another technology design company, after years of rejecting various investment opportunities.
The graphic design company has obtained the makers of popular background removal tools, remove.bg, and sunscreen. The company contends that over 100 million people from 180 countries employ the use of these tools.
We are not certain about the exact price and terms of the accession, according to TechCrunch the deal may have been finalized with nearly nine figures.
Kaleido press contact, Bernhard Holzer stated; “With our deeply aligned missions, overlapping roadmap and synergies across every aspect of the company, it was easy to see the incredible potential and opportunity in joining the Canva family”.
Canva also obtained a smart mockup, a generator that enables you to recreate a realistic design, for flyers, T-shirts, mugs, books, magazines, and many more. The graphic design company obtained two of the world’s biggest unrestricted stock content sites Pexels and Pixabay in 2019, which only further enhanced its archive stock.
A year before that, the company broadened its creative reach by acquiring zeetings, a web-based presentation maker.
